Born and educated in Sweden, Birgitta traveled and studied in France, Spain and Britain before coming to the United States to work as a stewardess for Pan American World Airways She married and moved to Pennsylvania in 1972 and her outstanding collection of Swedish antiques is displayed at her farm, Tallarna, in Bucks County. Birgitta developed her knowledge of antiques as manager of a complex of 12 antique shops, in Lahaska, Pennsylvania. Her decision to deal in Swedish antiques, little known at that time, proved to be a wise one.
